Family Joy Blog Link-up #40

Hello again! Glad to have you join our link-up party! Hope you can find some helpful new tips or maybe a delicious recipe to try. Invite a blogger friend to come add their posts too. I would love to hear from you in the comments. Tell me the number you are in the link-up so I can be sure to pay you a visit! This week I’m going to go with my son on a class field trip for the first time. I’m also doing some sewing lately. Not my favorite thing, but I have an upcoming family wedding that I needed to sew a dress or skirt for my daughter and I. I posted a pic of my daughter’s dress on my Instagram if you want to check it out!

Tell us what you’ve been up to!

I am married with three young children. My husband and I are both registered nurses. I like to try new ideas out, and will obsessively research whatever that latest idea is. We like to try different ways to decrease our living costs and save money. My husband is great at building/fixing/diy etc. and figuring out how to implement my new schemes.

I’ve been getting some sewing done too. I’ve got a project I intended to do 2 Christmases ago that I finally put on my priority list this year and I just got that started yesterday.

I need to get a skirt sewn this week so that’s done. I don’t want to wait till last minute. I can sew pretty well but it just isn’t something I love doing.

I’m working on some Christmas stockings. I like doing it (as long as my machine cooperates with me!) but I have trouble finding time. Two years ago I made lap quilts for everyone for gifts and ran out of time, and last year I was very pregnant and far too tired.

Christmas stockings are a good project. It’s hard to find ones you like sometimes at the store.
